WorkReady Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a WorkReady Consultant to join Ability Options in Seven Hills, NSW. In this full‑time permanent position you will support people with disability to develop vocational goals, gain work experience and pursue further education, helping them move towards meaningful employment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain person‑centred plans for each participant.
• Identify and set employment and education objectives.
• Coordinate and secure work‑experience placements.
• Facilitate individual and group training sessions.
• Organise and attend social events and excursions.
• Engage proactively with employers to create job and training opportunities.
• Travel between sites across NSW to support the WorkReady team.

Required profile

• Understanding of a person‑centred approach.
• Valid driver’s licence (minimum P2) and willingness to travel.
• Ability to obtain NDIS Workers Check and Working with Children Check.
• Commitment to child‑safe standards and mandatory reporting.
• Strong administrative abilities.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s licence (minimum P2).
• Comprehensive car insurance and vehicle registration.
• Ability to undergo background checks (NDIS Workers Check, Working with Children Check).
