Water Engineer

About the role

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Water Engineer to join its South Australian water team in Adelaide. The role supports SA Water projects, contributing to the planning, design and delivery of water, wastewater, network and treatment infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical inputs for pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities and drainage systems.
• Coordinate design inputs across multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, constructible and sustainable solutions.
• Apply geotechnical information to support constructability reviews and ground risk assessments.
• Produce design reports, schedules and supporting documentation in line with project requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in designing water and wastewater infrastructure such as pipelines, pump stations and treatment facilities.
• Understanding of Australian standards, safety‑in‑design and quality assurance processes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
