Warehouse & Logistics Officer

About the role

ALS is looking for a reliable, safety-focused and detail-oriented Warehouse & Logistics Officer to join its Stafford warehouse team on a full-time basis. The role is hands-on and varied, covering warehouse operations, inventory control, order picking and packing, kit preparation, dispatch, freight coordination, truck and container loading, forklift operation and systems administration. The pay is $32.50 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, pack, replenish and dispatch stock accurately and efficiently.
• Complete inventory transactions and stock movements using warehouse and ERP systems.
• Assist with stocktakes and report inventory discrepancies.
• Load and unload trucks and containers safely.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.
• Follow WHS, dangerous goods and manual-handling requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and inventory accuracy.
• Support sustainability and waste-reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Current LF forklift licence (mandatory).
• Experience operating counterbalance or reach forklifts.
• Previous experience in warehousing, logistics, distribution or a similar environment.
• Experience with picking, packing, dispatch and stock control.
• Strong attention to detail and data-entry accuracy.
• Clear communication skills and a reliable, flexible, team-oriented approach.
• Dangerous goods experience is preferred but not essential.
• Must be eligible to work in Australia (citizen or permanent resident, or hold or be able to obtain a valid working visa).
