Transport Coordinator

About the role

Linfox is seeking a Transport Coordinator to join its Intermodal business unit in Cairns, Queensland. In this permanent full‑time position you will coordinate vehicle operations for the pickup and delivery of customer products, ensuring routes are optimised and safety and compliance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate daily freight schedules to drivers and oversee route optimisation.
• Communicate with drivers to confirm completion of work in line with customer expectations and safety/compliance guidelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation for manifests, delivery schedules, and safety records.
• Provide proactive updates to customers regarding scheduled deliveries and any changes.
• Conduct regular yard walks and spot checks to support driver compliance.
• Support safety and compliance activities, including driver fatigue management and pre‑start checks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a transport or logistics operations role.
• Knowledge of dangerous goods, load restraints and fatigue management is highly regarded.
• Ability to work autonomously and give timely, safe advice to drivers.
• Strong customer and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
