Technical Services Engineer – Fire Suppression (ANZ)

About the role

Johnson Controls is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to support its Fire Suppression business across Australia and New Zealand. You will provide expert technical assistance, deliver training, and work with a range of fire protection technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for fire suppression products via phone, email, online channels and onsite visits.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting and fault‑finding to ensure optimal product performance.
• Develop technical drawings, layouts and engineering documentation for ANZ market solutions.
• Collaborate with global and regional support teams to deliver accurate product information.
• Partner with Business Development Managers to supply technical expertise and sales support.
• Deliver high‑quality technical training to consultants, engineers, contractors and field service teams.
• Act as a trusted advisor on industry codes, standards and best practices.

Required profile

• Experience in fire protection, fire safety, mechanical engineering or related industries.
• Strong ability to interpret technical documentation, datasheets, Australian Standards and industry codes.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and solution‑focused approach.
• Experience delivering technical training; Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is highly regarded.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and technical writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• AutoCAD or similar design software.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Technical drawing and engineering documentation.
• Troubleshooting of fire suppression equipment.
