About the role
The Technical Sales Representative will deliver technical, colour and digital solutions to automotive refinish customers across the assigned territory. You will support sales acquisition, demonstrate BASF products, and help launch new digital and colour services.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain regular customer and distributor visit cycles in line with sales priorities.
- Provide day‑to‑day technical, colour and training support to customers and distributors.
- Conduct new‑customer acquisition demos, showcasing digital and colour solutions such as Refinity.
- Support BASF and distributor sales teams with technical demo outcomes and presentations.
- Identify painter skill gaps, deliver onsite training, resolve complaints and perform technical vehicle inspections.
- Execute system conversions, technology transfers and customer trainings while identifying improvement opportunities.
- Update Customer Skills Assessment and Sales Force databases regularly.
- Maintain required technical competencies through training and e‑learning, collaborating with Technical Process Specialists.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in Automotive Refinish or an equivalent spray‑painter qualification.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training (preferred).
- Minimum 6 years of experience in the automotive refinish industry.
- Proven experience in coaching, development and delivering technical training.
