Tax Professional – Advisory & Compliance

About the role

PwC Australia is looking for a Tax Professional to join its Tax practice in any of its Australian offices. The role will help leading clients meet compliance and risk‑management obligations while delivering strategic tax planning and advisory solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted tax advisor, understanding each client’s unique needs.
• Support iconic Australian clients, particularly in financial services, to navigate a changing tax landscape.
• Manage client portfolios, build relationships across industries and liaise with tax authorities.
• Contribute to complex tax projects, including corporate, global, tax controversy, US tax advisory, GST, and real‑estate/infrastructure tax.
• Proactively manage Australian tax obligations based on client circumstances.
• Develop team strategies to solve complex technical tax questions and meet client timelines.
• Drive the use of technology and automation to enhance compliance processes.
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Postgraduate qualifications (MBA or Masters) highly regarded.
• Experience delivering tax advisory and compliance services in a professional‑services environment, such as a Big 4 firm.
• Strong interest in technology and automation.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with clients and tax authorities.
