Surface Drilling Consumables Support

About the role

The Surface Drilling Consumables Support role is a key Sandvik representative on customer mine sites, managing drilling consumables and ensuring service and operational activities meet expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in site meetings, safety initiatives and adhere to safety policies.
• Develop and maintain customer relations regarding rig movements and configurations.
• Analyse and report on consumable performance using Sandvik’s digital tools.
• Inspect drill rigs, conduct consumable checks and provide reports.
• Perform in‑field air and weight‑on‑bit testing and report findings.
• Recondition/Service DTH hammers with safety and quality focus.
• Deliver face‑to‑face training on Sandvik drilling consumables.
• Manage consumable inventories at Rio Tinto satellite stockrooms.

Required profile

• Experience in surface drilling, mining or related customer service roles.
• Willingness to travel and obtain HR, Forklift, DG licence and Police Clearance.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team, representing Sandvik on site.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 kg and work under Mine Health and Safety Regulations.
