Support Worker - Canberra Regions

About the role

Lumia Care is seeking experienced Support Workers to deliver high-quality, individualised care to clients in the Canberra region. You will be matched with clients according to your qualifications, experience and care compatibility. Services are provided across SIL houses, private homes and community settings. This is a casual position.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high personal care and hygiene support
• Perform high manual handling tasks such as transfers and mobility assistance
• Help with community access, including social activities, appointments, shopping and groceries
• Offer social and emotional support
• Provide domestic assistance such as cleaning and meal preparation

Required profile

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health or equivalent (mandatory)
• Experience supporting clients with complex psychosocial and physical needs
• Manual handling training and personal care experience (essential)
• Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, overnights and public holidays
• Current First Aid Certificate, valid police check, NDIS worker screening check and Working with Children Check
• Full Australian work rights, valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
