Solar Maintenance Electrician

About the role

This position is for an experienced Electrician or Renewable Energy Technician to join the Operations & Maintenance team of a large‑scale solar asset. You will ensure safe and reliable operation of the solar farm through regular maintenance, inspections and fault resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance, inspections, fault finding and troubleshooting across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, including repair and replacement of faulty components.
• Support maintenance procedures, SOPs, commissioning activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reporting and compliance documentation.
• Collaborate with site teams, support safe operations and provide guidance to junior technicians where required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in renewable energy, utility‑scale solar or similar infrastructure environments.
• Extensive experience in electrical maintenance, repair and installation.
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting capability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a site‑based team.
• Valid Electrical Licence and current Driver’s Licence.
