Social Content Creator

About the role

We are looking for a creative Social Content Creator to join Myer’s Content & Production team. Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you will conceive, capture, edit and publish social‑first content across Myer’s fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands. The role turns ideas into platform‑native assets for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and YouTube Shorts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ideation for always‑on content, campaign extensions, cultural moments and product launches across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and other platforms.
• Develop detailed content concepts with visual treatment, format recommendations, caption direction and platform‑specific considerations.
• Identify emerging trends, viral formats and trending audio, and pitch reactive content ideas.
• Participate in studio, in‑store and on‑location shoots, directing talent and ensuring footage is captured for mobile‑native formats.
• Capture real‑time, reactive content during events and campaign shoots.
• Edit photo and video assets to a high standard, producing polished, platform‑ready files that meet technical specifications.
• Apply on‑trend pacing, transitions, caption overlays, audio selection and motion graphics for each platform.
• Maintain a consistent volume of high‑quality, platform‑native social content aligned with the publishing calendar.

Required profile

• Strong creative ideation skills with a passion for social storytelling.
• Hands‑on production experience, comfortable shooting and directing talent.
• Ability to work quickly and adapt to fast‑moving retail environments.
• Versatility to create content across womenswear, menswear, beauty, kidswear and home categories.
