Site Manager – Commercial Construction

About the role

McMahon Services is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead on‑site activities for a variety of commercial construction projects across South Australia. You will work closely with Project Managers, coordinate teams and suppliers, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
• Coordinate labour, plant, equipment and materials to meet project milestones.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to manage RFIs, variations, delays and extensions of time.
• Prepare and deliver weekly site and project progress reports.
• Monitor quality, productivity and overall project performance.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager within commercial building construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery.
• Ability to read, interpret and communicate construction plans and documentation.
• Experience preparing and reviewing JSAs, SWMS and risk assessments.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Construction White Card and a current driver’s licence.
• Senior First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to obtain Defence Clearance, DCSI and National Police Clearance.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment medical and drug & alcohol testing.
