Shift Supervisor – Packaging Production

About the role

The Shift Supervisor will lead the production team on the Power Plastics line at Kings Park, ensuring safe, efficient manufacturing of sustainable packaging. Reporting to the Production Co‑ordinator, you will oversee plant operations, staff welfare and compliance with Pact Group best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and allocate staff to meet production targets and maintain schedules.
• Control material flow, complete paperwork, and manage leave rostering and Kronos approvals.
• Conduct machine adjustments, line change‑overs, routine checks, TPM, and record breakdowns for reliability improvement.
• Ensure quality control reports, certifications, non‑conformance and safety reporting are accurate and closed out promptly.
• Lead daily tier communication meetings with planning and manufacturing teams and participate in RCCA investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a plastic manufacturing environment.
• Proven people‑leadership and change‑management abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Kronos time‑keeping system.
• MEX maintenance request system.
• CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System).
