SEO/AEO Specialist

About the role

Era Search is looking for a hands‑on SEO/AEO Specialist to join our small, agile team in Sydney. You will work directly with the founding team, tackling both classic SEO tasks and pioneering AI‑driven search visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical SEO audits, on‑page optimisation, and internal linking strategies.
• Develop content structures, keyword research, and schema markup implementations.
• Optimize for AI answer engines, knowledge graphs, and structured data that feeds large language models.
• Help build and refine the emerging playbook for ranking inside AI‑generated responses.
• Collaborate closely with founders without intermediary account managers.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of hands‑on SEO experience, preferably agency‑side.
• Strong fundamentals in technical audits, on‑page work, content structure, keyword research and internal linking.
• Comfortable using Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog or similar tools.
• Active interest in AI‑driven search and ability to self‑solve problems.
• Clear communication, deadline‑driven, and comfortable in a fast‑moving startup environment.
