SEO Specialist (Strategy & Growth)

About the role

We are seeking an SEO Specialist (Strategy & Growth) to drive measurable organic growth for our digital products in Australia. The role combines strategic planning, technical optimisation and high‑impact content execution to increase visibility, traffic and conversions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive SEO strategy aligned with business objectives and quarterly OKRs.
• Manage a continuous pipeline of SEO actions, balancing technical improvements, content opportunities and growth experiments.
• Oversee technical SEO performance, including site architecture, indexing, crawlability, internal linking, structured data and platform health.
• Improve Core Web Vitals, page speed, mobile usability and support site migrations or structural changes.
• Lead keyword research and user‑intent mapping to guide content briefs, metadata, schema and on‑page optimisation.
• Design and execute off‑page SEO initiatives such as backlink acquisition through digital PR and partnerships.
• Monitor performance with analytics tools, translate data into actionable insights and collaborate with content, design, engineering and marketing teams.
• Create SEO documentation, playbooks and guidelines to standardise best practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on SEO experience in a growth‑driven, agency or enterprise environment.
• Strong expertise in technical SEO, including crawl optimisation, indexing, site structure and JavaScript considerations.
• Proven track record in content strategy, keyword research, on‑page optimisation and conversion‑focused SEO.
• Experience with SEO and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or SEMrush.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Shopify, headless) and basic HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
