Senior Structural Construction Engineer

About the role

Join Robert Bird Group’s Construction Engineering team in North Sydney as a Senior Structural Construction Engineer. You will play a pivotal role in delivering major building and transport infrastructure projects across NSW, providing specialist analysis, construction methodology and temporary works design.

Key responsibilities

• Design detailed temporary works and assess their impact on permanent structures.
• Collaborate with Project Directors and Associates on current and future client projects.
• Manage project resources and ensure successful delivery of assignments.
• Uphold RBG’s standards of innovation, technical excellence, quality and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to maintain high‑quality project deliverables.

Required profile

• Engineering qualification focused on Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering, including temporary works design.
• Strong knowledge of Australian codes and standards.
• Proven ability to produce detailed engineering drawings.
• Solid grounding in steel and concrete design.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Experience preparing technical reports with minimal corrections.
• Full working rights in Australia.
