Senior Site Manager – Short-Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead on‑site construction and defects phases on high‑profile projects in Brisbane. This short‑term contract offers immediate start and the chance to drive site operations end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on‑site activities across construction and defect phases, ensuring safety, quality and schedule compliance.
• Drive site safety in line with WHS legislation and company policies.
• Oversee environmental compliance and maintain site standards.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and a workforce of 100+ tradespeople.
• Chair site meetings, prepare reports, minutes and stakeholder updates.
• Identify and resolve buildability issues with project teams.
• Contribute to programme development, tendering and value‑engineering.
• Manage industrial relations and liaise with unions as required.
• Track, manage and close out defects, maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager delivering construction projects end‑to‑end, including build and defects phases.
• Ability to manage large‑scale site operations and teams of 100+ workers.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental compliance and construction methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (essential).
