Senior Contracts Manager

About the role

This senior appointment will support a portfolio of major civil infrastructure and mixed‑use development projects across Australia. The role provides strategic contract management, claims preparation, dispute resolution and commercial advisory to project delivery teams, acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver senior contract management support for large infrastructure and development projects.
• Advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations, risk and entitlement.
• Lead contract reviews, risk assessments and tender‑stage contractual analysis.
• Support negotiation and administration of complex construction contracts.
• Manage contractual correspondence, notices, submissions and stakeholder communications.
• Prepare and develop major claims, including extensions of time, disruption, variation and cost claims.
• Assist in dispute avoidance and resolution activities across project portfolios.
• Work closely with legal teams on claims and formal dispute proceedings.
• Ensure contractual compliance and commercial governance throughout project delivery.
• Support contract close‑out and final account processes.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Law, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in contract management, commercial management, quantity surveying, claims or dispute resolution.
• Proven experience on major infrastructure, civil engineering, transportation or mixed‑use development projects.
• Strong understanding of Australian construction contracts and industry practices.
