Senior Site Manager – Short-Term Contract

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead construction and defect phases on high‑profile projects in Brisbane. This short‑term contract offers immediate start and the chance to take full ownership of site operations from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all on‑site activities across construction and defect phases.
• Drive site safety in line with WHS legislation and company policies.
• Oversee environmental compliance and maintain site standards.
• Ensure project programmes and key milestones are met.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and a workforce of 100+ workers.
• Chair site meetings, produce minutes and provide stakeholder updates.
• Identify and resolve buildability issues with project teams.
• Contribute to programme development, tendering and value‑engineering.
• Manage industrial relations and engage with unions when required.
• Track, manage and close out defects while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Site Manager in construction or project environments.
• Ability to manage large site teams (100+ workers) and multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, WHS legislation and environmental standards.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• QBCC Site Supervisor Licence (essential).
