About the role
Global Supply Network (GSN) is seeking a Senior Purchasing Officer to join its Sydney team on a full‑time, on‑site basis. You will lead the procurement function, manage vendor relationships and negotiate supply contracts to secure cost‑effective, high‑quality materials for Australian manufacturers.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the end‑to‑end procurement process, from purchase requisitions to final delivery.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Analyse procurement data to identify savings opportunities and optimise supplier performance.
- Collaborate closely with the operations team and suppliers to streamline workflows and meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records and documentation for all purchasing activities.
Required profile
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including PO and requisition management.
- Proven ability in contract negotiation to achieve favourable terms.
- Analytical mindset for evaluating supplier performance and procurement strategies.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills to handle multiple projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, procurement or supply chain is highly valued.
