Senior Project Controls Specialist

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to join its Advisory business, supporting Defence capital and maintenance projects across Western Australia and the Northern Territory. You will work with a highly skilled team to deliver projects from feasibility through to hand‑over, ensuring robust controls and compliance with defence requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project controls expertise for a portfolio of Defence projects, coordinating with the controls team to maintain consistent processes.
• Escalate controls‑related issues and promote best practices to support proactive contract management.
• Support Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring across assigned regions.
• Travel between WA and NT locations as required to meet project needs.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship (essential for defence clearance).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project Controls, including at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven track record of delivering large‑scale programmes and managing controls across multiple projects.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of PRISM.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and other IT packages.
