About the role
Join Citadel Securities' options market‑making team in Sydney, building and supporting one of the world’s most powerful trading platforms. You will work on ultra‑low‑latency systems that process billions of messages daily.
Key responsibilities
- Build, maintain and continuously improve performance, functionality and stability of the trading platform.
- Design, develop, test and deploy elegant software solutions across the firm.
- Partner with business leaders to define priorities and deliver custom solutions.
- Analyze complex business and technical problems and make proactive decisions.
- Provide timely systems support for trading activities.
Required profile
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong ability to work independently, prioritize high‑impact projects and communicate in a dynamic trading environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Required skills
- C++ programming.
- Experience with distributed systems.
- Sound understanding of multi‑threaded application design and development.
