Senior Finance Business Partner QLD & NT

About the role

BlueScope is looking for a Senior Finance Business Partner to support its high-performing Building Components QLD & NT business, based in Archerfield, Queensland. The role sits on both the National Commercial Leadership Team and the QLD & NT State Business Leadership Team, partnering with senior leaders to give trusted commercial insight, strategic guidance and performance advice. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the State Manager and leadership team to develop and implement strategies that enhance EBIT, optimise the balance sheet and support business objectives
• Look beyond financial results to identify performance drivers and provide analysis, advice and constructive challenge
• Contribute to planning, investment decisions (including capex), commercial opportunities and operational priorities
• Ensure effective financial controls, commercial governance and risk management are embedded
• Build collaborative relationships across sales, operations, finance and other functions
• Identify, prioritise and progress a pipeline of improvement initiatives and champion change and innovation

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• Extensive finance and commercial experience within a complex business
• Proven ability to influence strategy and business decisions
• Ability to communicate complex financial and commercial information clearly to varied stakeholders
• Confidence navigating ambiguity, competing priorities and organisational boundaries
