Senior Electrical Engineer

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the delivery of high‑quality electrical engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects. In this senior position you will influence project strategy, mentor junior staff, and shape technical outcomes while enjoying the autonomy of an employee‑owned consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Electrical Services solutions for a range of projects.
• Manage projects through the full design lifecycle to construction and practical completion.
• Conduct Quality Assurance reviews and certify designs, including Form 15 sign‑off.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication.
• Prepare fee proposals and contribute to bid development.
• Lead and coordinate design teams, providing guidance to junior and graduate engineers.
• Attend site inspections, project meetings, and industry events as a Lucid representative.
• Produce and review technical documentation, reports, and meeting minutes.

Required profile

• Australian‑recognised engineering degree or relevant trade qualification.
• National or regional registration such as CPEng, NER, RPEQ, or QBCC Designer Licence.
• Australian citizen (preferred) or permanent resident.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and sound engineering judgement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of Australian Standards, regulations and the NCC.
• Proven ability to manage discipline‑specific scope and lead projects from design through construction.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
