Senior Director, Private Capital

About the role

This senior leadership position is focused on building and owning a private wealth distribution platform for a fast‑growing Australian real‑estate private credit manager. You will design and execute fundraising strategies, working closely with a high‑calibre investment team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead capital raising across private‑wealth channels, including private banks, wealth advisers, family offices and high‑net‑worth investors.
• Drive fundraising for senior, mezzanine and structured development finance products.
• Develop and implement domestic and selected offshore distribution strategies.
• Establish strategic partnerships with private banks, wealth management firms and investment advisory groups.
• Lead investor roadshows, presentations and one‑on‑one meetings with prospective and existing capital partners.
• Collaborate with the Origination team to translate pipeline and portfolio performance into compelling investor propositions.
• Oversee creation of investor‑facing materials such as presentations, fund updates and due‑diligence responses.
• Provide market intelligence on investor sentiment, competitive dynamics and capital flows to inform strategy and product development.

Required profile

• Significant experience in private capital raising with a strong focus on private‑wealth distribution.
• Established network across private banks, wealth advisers, family offices and high‑net‑worth investors.
• Proven track record raising capital for alternative investments, ideally within private credit or real‑estate strategies.
• Deep understanding of Australian real‑estate debt markets and private‑capital structures.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate complex investment strategies into clear investor propositions.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Comfortable operating with a high degree of seniority, autonomy and accountability.
