Senior Consultant - Advisory

About the role

KPMG’s Enterprise Strategy and Operations team is seeking a Senior Consultant to lead advisory engagements across a range of industries in Australia. You will work closely with clients to shape business strategies, design operating models and drive transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development of business strategies and operating models, defining vision, priorities and growth pathways.
• Manage workstreams for business case development, including financial modelling, cost‑benefit analysis and stakeholder engagement.
• Design and implement organisational change initiatives such as process improvement, workforce planning and service delivery optimisation.
• Apply project and programme management methodologies to ensure timely, on‑scope delivery aligned with strategic objectives.
• Conduct market research, stakeholder interviews and data analysis to generate insights for client recommendations.
• Prepare and present client‑ready deliverables, including reports, presentations and strategic briefings.
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal thought‑leadership and practice growth.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in management consulting or a closely related discipline.
• Proven ability to lead components of client engagements and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and understanding of business operations.
• Experience applying consulting frameworks such as issue trees, MECE, SWOT, value‑chain analysis and operating model design.
