Senior Civil Designer – Land Development & Infrastructure

About the role

You will join a professional, collaborative team delivering civil design for a diverse portfolio of property development and government projects across South East Queensland. The role offers the chance to lead design documentation, work alongside experienced senior designers and project managers, and develop within an employee‑owned practice.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate civil design and drafting drawings for land development and built‑form projects, covering drainage, water supply, sewerage, roads and subdivisions, ensuring compliance with SEQ standards.
• Lead the design documentation phase, collaborating with senior civil designers and project managers to deliver complete design packages.
• Interpret survey data, engineering plans and geotechnical reports to produce precise documentation.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience preparing civil design drawings for land development and built‑form projects in Queensland.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in civil design or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Civil 12D.
• Knowledge of Australian standards (AS/NZS 1170 series, AS 2159, AS 1742) and local council guidelines.
• Understanding of stormwater, sewer, water, road and earthworks design principles.
