Senior BIM Technician – Structures

About the role

Join WSP’s Structures team in Sydney to lead the production and coordination of BIM models for complex building and infrastructure projects. You will ensure design documentation aligns with project deliverables, WSP standards, and industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Revit modelling of building structures to WSP standards, producing coordinated plans, sections, elevations, reinforcement and precast details.
• Facilitate designer interaction with BIM models for data input and extraction, identifying clashes early to reduce project risk.
• Manage model coordination across design, construction and digital teams, allocating resources and maintaining technical standards.
• Support digital upskilling of the team and ensure high‑quality BIM outputs throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Building Design, Drafting, Engineering or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of BIM experience on large or multidisciplinary projects.
• Proven ability to model reinforced concrete, precast concrete and structural steel elements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a focus on detail and problem‑solving.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto or ACC.
• Solid understanding of BIM processes and standards such as ISO 19650.
• Experience in model coordination and digital delivery workflows.
