Security Service Technician

About the role

Join Johnson Controls' Sydney Service Team as a Security Service Technician, providing hands‑on technical support for commercial customers across a range of advanced security systems.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair security systems on‑site.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Deliver small to medium security upgrades and fit‑out projects.
• Commission newly installed security solutions.
• Prepare quotations for repairs and recommended upgrades.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide expert technical support.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal project teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a security technician role.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault‑finding abilities.
• Good networking, systems and PC knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Australian working rights, current NSW driver licence, security licence, cabling registration and White Card.

Required skills

• Experience with Johnson Controls P2000C, C•CURE, Lenel, Concept, Tecom, Gallagher platforms.
• Knowledge of CCTV and video management systems such as Genetec, Milestone, Aimetis, Victor, Exacq, Vision.
• Familiarity with NVRs, DVRs and network‑based security infrastructure.
• Installation, servicing and commissioning of electronic security systems.
