Rockbreaker & Loader Operator – FIFO (2 weeks on/1 week off)

About the role

Destec is seeking experienced rockbreaker and loader operators for a short‑term bulk ore testing program at a remote Western Australian site. The position runs for 2‑3 months with the possibility of extension if the project expands into a full mining and crushing operation.

Key responsibilities

• Operate an excavator equipped with a rock‑breaker attachment to break and remove ground material for sampling.
• Operate a front‑end loader to load, move and manage ore stockpiles.
• Follow FIFO roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off) and work dayshift only.
• Maintain equipment safely and report any issues promptly.
• Adhere to all site safety and environmental procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating excavators and loaders in a mining environment.
• Current Excavator Ticket/License and Front End Loader Ticket/License.
• Haul Truck/Moxy Ticket/License is highly desirable.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical, drug and alcohol screening.
• Current police clearance (issued within the last 12 months).
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and ability to work effectively in a remote team.
