Operator Assistant I – Cementing

About the role

The Operator Assistant I – Cementing supports cementing service operations on rig sites under close supervision. This entry‑level position provides hands‑on experience with cementing equipment, safety procedures, and field logistics, offering a pathway into Halliburton’s service operator career track.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with rigging‑up and rigging‑down of cementing service equipment, including spotting cement storage vessels and pre‑mixing spacer fluids.
• Set up and operate data monitoring equipment on site.
• Learn to operate cement pumps, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and complete associated paperwork and reports.
• Promote safety awareness, environmental consciousness, and compliance with HSE regulations and quality improvement processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Basic reading, writing, and computer skills.
• Potential requirement for a commercial driver’s licence and completion of I‑Learn courses (Essential Mathematics, Red Book, Cementing 1).
