Research Fellow – Antimicrobial Resistance (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Flinders Rural and Remote Health NT is expanding its research team to address antimicrobial resistance in remote Australia (TARRA). The Research Fellow will join a multidisciplinary group to strengthen primary health services across the Northern Territory.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate the TARRA research project, including data collection and analysis.
• Prepare manuscripts for peer‑reviewed journals and support grant writing.
• Manage communications within the research team and with external stakeholders.
• Oversee project governance and contribute to the overall management of four research arms.
• Supervise honours and postgraduate research projects.

Required profile

• Relevant research experience in health, epidemiology or related fields.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a senior research team.
• Strong written communication skills for reports, manuscripts and grant applications.
• Experience supervising student research projects is desirable.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract (3 years) with full‑time or part‑time options (1.0 FTE – 0.6 FTE).
• Salary $115,871 – $137,122 AUD per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time).
