Nurse/Midwife Clinical Coordinator – Continuous Quality Improvement

About the role
The Continuous Quality Improvement/Professional Practice Nurse will support primary and public health staff across the Barkly region by applying quality improvement processes and clinical standards. You will work with established CQI models to develop activities that align with best practice and the NT Aboriginal Health Forum endorsed framework.
Key responsibilities
- Assist PHC teams in implementing quality improvement initiatives and clinical standards.
- Manage resources, including procurement of clinical equipment.
- Contribute to the development of guidelines, policy interpretation, and change‑management activities.
- Travel to remote locations by road or light aircraft and stay on‑site for up to a week as required.
- Support the creation and maintenance of documentation related to CQI activities.
Required profile
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (or eligibility).
- Advanced clinical knowledge and decision‑making skills in primary or remote health.
- Experience in policy development, interpretation, and change‑management initiatives.
- Understanding of social and cultural factors influencing health care delivery.
- Graduate Diploma or equivalent beyond entry‑to‑practice in primary or remote health care.
