Reliability Engineer

About the role

The Reliability Engineer will join the Maintenance & Engineering team at Dawson Mine in Moura, Queensland. You will provide technical support to improve the reliability and availability of mobile equipment, driving long‑term asset performance across the operation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver safe, efficient, and reliable mechanical engineering services to meet maintenance plans and targets.
• Provide reliability, relationship, and project management support to foster a reliability‑centered culture.
• Review and update mobile maintenance strategies in line with business processes.
• Facilitate regular department budget reviews and submissions.
• Manage defect‑elimination processes to optimise reliability, availability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Audit site compliance with ACA standards and report variations.
• Analyse causes of failures and poor performance in critical equipment and systems.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to develop recommendations that lower failure rates and repair costs.
• Offer technical advice to support site strategy and the annual maintenance plan.
• Implement solutions and measure performance improvements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date industry and reliability knowledge.
• Support implementation of ACA reliability systems and ensure compliance with quality and legislative standards.
• Adhere to all on‑site health and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in reliability engineering.
