Relationship Manager – Small & Medium Enterprise Banking

About the role

The Relationship Manager will oversee a portfolio of small and medium‑sized enterprises in Darwin, building strong relationships with business owners across diverse industries. You will use a deep understanding of each client’s financial needs to drive growth through new acquisitions, increased share of wallet, and referrals, supported by modern banking systems and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored banking solutions by understanding client needs.
• Develop and maintain internal and external networks to design and execute strong deals.
• Structure and negotiate deals in collaboration with product and specialist teams.
• Proactively manage credit and operational risks.
• Apply Relationship Credit Approval discretion where appropriate.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build long‑term customer relationships and maintain high satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial mid‑market banking products.
• Capability to assess business needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Experience in evaluating, advising on, and monitoring credit worthiness and risk.
