Registered Nurse – Family Healthcare Support

About the role

The Royal Children’s Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Family Healthcare Support team. This full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position provides education and training to support workers in schools, kindergartens and children’s homes across Victoria.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver family‑centred care using a holistic approach that addresses medical, psychosocial, cultural and spiritual needs.
• Plan and implement nursing care for post‑acute, home‑care, school‑care and family‑healthcare support programmes.
• Facilitate training and assessment of support workers who provide in‑home care for eligible patients.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of paediatric nursing experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and time‑management skills.
• Valid Victorian driver’s licence and ability to travel statewide.
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.

Required skills

• Proficient in systematic nursing assessment and documentation.
• Capability to provide clinical advice on non‑urgent nursing or medical queries.
