Registered Nurse – Diagnostic Radiology

About the role

The Diagnostic Radiology Registered Nurse provides patient‑centred, evidence‑informed nursing care at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The role includes morning and afternoon shifts that finish by 6:30 pm, participation in an on‑call roster, and occasional use of a lead gown for radiation safety.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain safe radiation practices by wearing a lead gown when required and adhering to departmental protocols.
• Participate in on‑call duties and ensure continuity of care across shift changes.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Demonstrated understanding of evidence‑informed practice and critical thinking.
• Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant experience in a hospital setting is highly beneficial.
• Full working rights in Australia.
