Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics (Permanent)

About the role

Join the peri‑operative team at Sydney Adventist Hospital as a Registered Nurse – Anaesthetics. You will support patients and anaesthetists throughout pre‑operative and intra‑operative phases, following ANZCA guidelines. The role is permanent, Monday‑to‑Friday, with the possibility of on‑call roster participation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the anaesthetic team to plan and deliver peri‑operative nursing care.
• Prepare the environment and equipment required for safe anaesthetic delivery.
• Provide direct support to patients and the anaesthetist during surgical interventions.
• Report to the Nurse Unit Manager – Anaesthetics/PACU and work closely with an experienced team.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an anaesthetics setting with strong patient‑care skills.
• At least 3 years as a Registered Nurse in a hospital environment.
• Excellent patient assessment ability to identify and respond to condition changes.
• Current NSW Nursing Registration and valid Australian working rights.

Required skills

• Knowledge of anaesthetic methods.
• Familiarity with anaesthetic agents.
• Proficiency with anaesthetic equipment.
