About the role
Join Tomra’s growing team at the Smithfield depot as a Recycling Centre Operator. You will be the friendly face that greets customers, explains the Return and Earn scheme and ensures smooth operation of the reverse vending machines.
Key responsibilities
- Assist customers from their vehicles to the reverse vending machines and provide information on the recycling program.
- Perform general cleaning, routine maintenance and upkeep of the depot facilities.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment, acting as a point of contact for any customer queries.
Required profile
- Strong customer service orientation with good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and reliably across a schedule of four weekdays and one weekend day.
- Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance or a customer‑facing role is desirable.
Required skills
- First aid and/or fire warden certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
