Project Director – Buildings (Relocate to Perth)

About the role
Bureau Veritas is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead complex building projects in Western Australia. You will act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to clients, overseeing projects from inception through operational handover while driving business growth in the region.
Key responsibilities
- Lead full‑lifecycle management of complex building projects, from strategic planning to design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
- Provide governance across cost, programme, risk, quality, safety, procurement and commercial outcomes.
- Accountable for project performance, client satisfaction and delivery against contractual obligations.
- Manage programme performance, including delay mitigation and extension of time assessments.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, informing key project and investment decisions.
- Build, mentor and inspire a high‑performing team of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary advisory, assurance and technical service teams across Bureau Veritas.
- Support business development initiatives to grow the Buildings business in Western Australia.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in construction, engineering, architecture, project management or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Project Director or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Strong technical project management expertise across the full project lifecycle.
- Demonstrated success managing project financial performance, contractual obligations and commercial outcomes.
- Deep understanding of consultancy environments, governance frameworks and client expectations.
- Passion for developing people and building high‑performing teams.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship‑building capabilities.
- Commercial acumen with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
