Product Designer

About the role

Metricon is looking for a curious, creative Product Designer to join its National Product Development Team. Based in our modern Robina office, you will help shape the homes Australians love to live in, turning ideas into tangible residential products.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development, management and evolution of Metricon’s product range.
• Interpret and apply design standards and processes across all product lines.
• Create accurate design documentation – site plans, floor plans, facades, elevations, internal layouts, design options and schedules.
• Take concepts from idea to implementation, ensuring consistency across the portfolio.
• Resolve design queries from Display, Masters, Operations and other disciplines.
• Stay current with national building codes, permit procedures, residential design trends, new building products and emerging technologies.
• Meet deadlines, manage time effectively and contribute to team workflow.

Required profile

• Strong design skills with a passion for residential design excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed design documentation.
• Solid understanding of Australian building codes and approval processes.
• Portfolio showcasing innovative residential designs.
• Collaborative mindset and proactive problem‑solving attitude.
