Process Assistant – Robotics Operations

About the role

Amazon’s first robotics fulfillment centre in Australia is looking for a Process Assistant to support daily operations and help drive efficient, safe production. Reporting to an Area Manager, you will act as a key liaison between the floor staff and management, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Support department activities and daily management tasks such as allocating labour and leading meetings.
• Provide vacation coverage for Area Managers and follow up on policy and attendance tracking.
• Track and report ATS/labour hours and assist the floor as an associate resource, including training and SOP verification.
• Monitor area performance through tracking, reporting and feedback on associate performance.
• Participate in Operational Excellence initiatives and fill in with production duties as needed.
• Understand workflow and daily production goals, review and update SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, organised work area and identify safety hazards.
• Coach associates on safe work practices and participate in safety initiatives.
• Refer any job injuries immediately to the Area Manager.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 49 lb, stand or walk for up to 12‑hour shifts and perform frequent pushing, pulling, squatting, bending and reaching.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week with overtime as required.
