Personal Care Assistant

About the role

Mercy Health is hiring a Personal Care Assistant for its Mercy Place Rosebud facility. This is a casual position paid according to the EBAL, and the applicant must upload a resume, cover letter and relevant qualifications through the application form.

Key responsibilities

• Provide quality, resident-focused care using a person-centred approach, in line with care plans, Aged Care Standards and Mercy Health's policies and procedures.
• Keep accurate and timely records of resident care.
• Work with other staff to share relevant and timely information.

Required profile

• Resilient, compassionate and committed to person-centred care.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in residential aged care.
• Currently holding, or in the process of obtaining, a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care.
• Current police check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccinations in line with public health orders.

• Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
• A compassionate, flexible and positive approach.
• Ability to build friendly, respectful relationships and work collaboratively with a team.
