Mechanical Supervisor – Expressions of Interest

About the role

EnerMech is seeking experienced Mechanical Supervisors to lead crews on upcoming shutdown and maintenance projects in the Gladstone region. You will be responsible for delivering mechanical scopes safely, efficiently and to quality standards across planned maintenance, shutdowns and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical works across shutdowns, maintenance, breakdowns and project scopes.
• Lead site crews and coordinate subcontractors where required.
• Plan daily work activities, resources, materials and priorities.
• Prepare and support job packs, work fronts and handover documentation.
• Monitor safety, quality, productivity and schedule performance.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, site leadership and support teams.
• Drive compliance with HSE, quality and site requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and a strong safety‑first culture.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ supervision experience on mechanical or engineering scopes.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, LNG, power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• Nationally recognised mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter).
• Strong planning, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage crews safely and effectively.
• Full Australian working rights, recent police clearance and current driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Mechanical trade qualification (Mechanical Fitter or equivalent).
• Relevant high‑risk tickets (confined space, working at heights, first aid).
