About the role
This hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer position supports both Reomart WA and Metroll WA, two leading steel manufacturers in Western Australia. You will work closely with production and operations teams to deliver capital projects, drive process improvements and embed advanced steel processing technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver capital equipment and engineering projects aligned with business priorities.
- Analyse production processes to identify efficiency, quality and throughput gains.
- Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Plan and execute plant upgrades and engineering projects in collaboration with operations.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimise downtime.
- Monitor performance data to support informed decision‑making.
- Support maintenance and reliability improvement programmes.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality and operational standards.
- Drive Lean initiatives such as 5S, waste reduction and process standardisation.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Trade background (mechanical or electrical) is highly regarded.
- Experience in steel, rebar, roll‑forming or heavy‑industrial environments.
- Hands‑on, practical approach with strong problem‑solving capability.
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with operations teams.
- Experience in project engineering or project management is a plus.
