Render Operator – Full-time

About the role

The Render Operator is responsible for the daily operation of rendering equipment at our Cannon Hill processing facility. You will support the production of tallow and meal, ensuring that by‑products are transformed into high‑quality co‑products while adhering to safety, quality and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor rendering equipment and related processes.
• Assist in tallow and meal production to meet quality and output targets.
• Maintain compliance with HACCP, GMP, WHS and all site safety procedures.
• Promote a strong safety culture by reporting hazards and issues.
• Operate forklifts and perform safe material handling tasks.
• Support waste‑minimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Identify and report mechanical or process issues promptly.

Required profile

• Current LF Forklift License with proven experience.
• Previous experience in rendering, co‑products or meat processing (preferred).
• Strong technical understanding of rendering processes or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, WHS and environmental regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude with good problem‑solving skills.
• Reliable, team‑oriented, safety‑focused with good communication.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts if required.
