Maintenance Handyperson

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Handyperson to join the team at Punthill Narrabundah, a boutique apartment‑style hotel in Canberra’s Inner South. Reporting to the Hotel Manager, you will help maintain the property’s standards and ensure guests enjoy a clean, well‑kept environment. This role supports the overall guest experience by keeping public spaces and rooms in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain common areas to brand standards, including regular cleaning and minor repairs.
• Perform in‑stay and departure cleaning of guest rooms to a high standard.
• Ensure cleaning efficiency and quality meet hotel benchmarks.
• Identify and report areas requiring deep cleaning, repairs or replacement to the Housekeeping or Hotel Manager.

Required profile

• Committed to a long‑term career in hospitality maintenance.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high‑quality results.
• Proactive in spotting maintenance needs and communicating them promptly.
