Scullery Attendant / Kitchen Hand

About the role

Join the dedicated kitchen team at Qantas Lounges by Accor, located in Sydney Airport. As a Scullery Attendant/Kitchen Hand you will keep the back‑of‑house operations running smoothly, ensuring a clean and service‑ready environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment using industrial dishwashing machines.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment and report any issues.
• Keep kitchen, preparation and scullery areas clean and hygienic.
• Handle chemicals and equipment safely according to procedures.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Work a rotating roster that includes mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen (preferred but not essential).
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in a clean work environment.
• Ability to work well in a team and keep up during busy periods.
• Good attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Required skills

• Operating industrial dishwashing machines.
• Basic food preparation.
• Safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
