Legal Counsel - Australia/New Zealand Qualified

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Legal Counsel to support its operations worldwide, with an emphasis on APAC. The role sits within the legal team that gives clear advice, manages risk and keeps the company aligned with local laws and regulations. It is based at Fever's headquarters in Madrid, Spain, and candidates living elsewhere are expected to move there.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general legal support by adapting company legal strategy to regional business needs in APAC and common law markets
• Work with internal and external SMEs to give corporate, commercial, compliance, litigation and dispute support to the region
• Keep up to date with legislative and jurisprudential developments in the region
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to prioritise and manage complex legal matters
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, terms and conditions in multiple jurisdictions
• Contribute to company knowledge and documents, including templates and legal guides
• Prioritise work according to company strategy and objectives, and support the upskilling of other team members

Required profile

• Barred or practising lawyer in Australia or New Zealand with 4+ years of PQE in top-tier law firms or in-house at a large multinational
• Demonstrable experience on pan-Asia projects and familiarity with business cultures across the region
• Fluent English and working proficiency in another language relevant to the market
• Ability to turn complex legal issues into business outcomes, strong technical skills and good communication
