About the role

The Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance at Swinburne University of Technology is seeking a full‑time Lecturer in Accounting to deliver engaging teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, both on‑site and online.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and workshops using blended learning, case studies, role‑plays and simulations.
• Contribute to curriculum development, subject coordination, assessment design and student mentoring.
• Conduct high‑quality research leading to publications, research impact and funding opportunities.
• Participate in academic leadership, team coordination and industry partnership activities.

Required profile

• Doctoral qualification in Accounting or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience teaching accounting at university level (undergraduate and postgraduate).
• Track record of publishing in reputable academic journals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with students, colleagues and industry partners.

Required skills

• Experience with blended and online learning delivery.
• Familiarity with a range of research methods.
